My son will be deploying the end of January. I am proud that he is so proud of himself. He is in Hawaii right now and says he loves what he is doing, and all that he is learning.
I am so scared for him also. Do you ever get used to it? I understand his deployment will be for 15 motnhs.
I will keep your sons/family in my prayers. Please include my son Jason in yours.
God Bless

You ought to at least post a picture. I definitely believe your second paragraph. I think we all know someone in the military. My son is in Iraq, a Corpsman assigned to a Marine unit.

God Bless them all!

i often wonder if the Russian Navy had several aircraft carrier
battle groups patroling the Gulf of Mexico... if a few Red Necks in Shrimp Boats would not once in awhile drop some dead Armadillo road kill caruses in boxes - directly in front of the Russians ... just to piss them off.

I for one am glad for the cool hand and steady training of our highly professional Naval captains and admirals...

glad you had a laugh.

Although it is a little irreverant to post the comment from underdog, as these could contain most anything from explosives to who knows what, the comment made me laugh, so I approved it. When you laugh that gives a release to tension. Thanks underdog. Where is your blog?

The small Iranian boats also reportedly threw boxes into the water ahead of the U.S. boats before speeding off. It could not immediately be determined what was in the boxes

oh no!!!! not the dreaded white boxes???!!!!

Those of you who have sons and daughters deploying to Iraq soon, as Angela must know that things are better now than they were.

I have talked with Salute Our Heroes and Wounded Warriors and thanked them personally for making it possible for my son to serve until April in a much safer place.

Because of those that went before my son and yours, Angela, the likelyhood of something happening to them is GREATLY reduced.

Remember our Wounded Warriors and Salute Our Heroes as the Brave Warriors they are!

May God's Face shine upon them!

My Son, Seargeant Jeremy Burns ,USMC, is a in the 2/3 battallion, out of Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, which is going to deploy in early January for Falusia. He is 26 and very proud to be going. I am proud of him,but as you know very scared for him to be going. His tour should only be about 7 months, so I am already looking farward to September 08. Before he deploys, we will have him for the Christmas Holidays. My prayers are with you and yours.
Have a Merry Christmas

So sorry to hear about Ryan's Dad (your Brother). Ryan and I met while both stationed in Okinawa, Japan in the Marine Corps (1999). So incredibly sweet-HUGE HEART!! We later were stationed in Jacksonsonville,NC together in(2001-2003) then I got out of the service. I had no idea he was deployed...and for a second time!! I will keep him in my prayers and always in my heart.
