Navy Ships and Iran
Let’s pray for our sailors patrolling the shores! The Navy is strong and proud! It seems at every turn Iran is trying to push us into something they really don’t want to get into. Our military is the best in the world! See the story below and pray after you read it for those sailors and their safety.
The United States warned Iran on Monday to refrain from any further provocations following a weekend standoff in the Strait of Hormuz, off Iran’s coast, that ended after U.S. ships armed their weapons in preparation to defend against threatening Iranian boats.
“We urge the Iranians to refrain from such provocative actions that could lead to a dangerous incident in the future,” National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said Monday.
Pentagon sources say five Iranian Revolutionary Guard speed boats — described as “cigarette” boats — charged at the three U.S. Navy ships sailing in the Strait of Hormuz early Sunday en route to the Persian Gulf, FOX News confirmed.
The Iranian boats came within 200 yards of the U.S. ships — a cruiser, a frigate and a destroyer that U.S. officials said were on a routine transport mission.
The U.S. ships were forced to take defensive action to avoid striking the close-by Iranian boats and armed their weapons, but neither side fired any shots.
The small Iranian boats also reportedly threw boxes into the water ahead of the U.S. boats before speeding off. It could not immediately be determined what was in the boxes.

Although it is a little irreverant to post the comment from underdog, as these could contain most anything from explosives to who knows what, the comment made me laugh, so I approved it. When you laugh that gives a release to tension. Thanks underdog. Where is your blog?

i often wonder if the Russian Navy had several aircraft carrier
battle groups patroling the Gulf of Mexico… if a few Red Necks in Shrimp Boats would not once in awhile drop some dead Armadillo road kill caruses in boxes - directly in front of the Russians … just to piss them off.
I for one am glad for the cool hand and steady training of our highly professional Naval captains and admirals…
glad you had a laugh.

You ought to at least post a picture. I definitely believe your second paragraph. I think we all know someone in the military. My son is in Iraq, a Corpsman assigned to a Marine unit.
God Bless them all!
